So, my other blog, The Relentless Muse, is all about writing. It covers productivity tricks, craft, and the occasional book review. However, the only books I can really review on there, keeping the flavor of it intact, are books on writing.
I do read a lot of books on writing, however, that is not all that I read, so, welcome to Book Chomping, my shiny new blog that just consists of reviews of books! Some reviews will overlap between the blogs, however, most will not.
Keep in mind, currently I am on cold medication, so I originally wanted to call this blog Book Muncher, but decided that was a bad idea. And yes, I am giggling while typing this.
Here's what is coming in the near future:
- Thanks, But This Isn't For Us: A (Sort of) Compassionate Guide to Why Your Writing Is Being Rejected by Jessica Page Morrell; this will be my first review, and will be posted on here and on The Relentless Muse.
- Dune by Frank Herbert; this is one of my all time favorite books, so it must be done, plus I owe this review to Fantasy-Faction.
- A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin (A Song of Ice and Fire, book 1); along with this, I will also talk about the two times I have met him, once at Page One Bookstore, the second at Bubonicon.
- The Darkness That Comes Before by R. Scott Bakker (Prince of Nothing, book 1); this is another long one, but one I've wanted to review for a while, so it will be done!
The plan is to do a review a week. And yes, most of these will be fantasy books, though there will be creative non-fiction and mainstream thrown in there now and then.
